I went to Arusha, Tanzania with the sole purpose to volunteer at Lifted Strong, a women's empowerment organisation. I was going to be there for only a week, so didn't think there was a possibility of going on a safari...what a mistake that would have been.  I met four incredible people there, other volunteers, and they found a weekend safari.  I will forever be grateful to them for ensuring that I got to partake in this experience, for it was unlike any other.
